The Trim is built in , you can get various styles of trim .

Regards to connections ,
Main harness from vehicle side to radio connects directly with no alterations . On that harness is also the canbox module which is pre wired from to the canbus terminals on both the vehicle harness and radio . There are 2 additional cables on the canbox . One goes to back of radio (2pin) and the other connects to the odb2 port. With these connections the unit now received data from the car like speed , rpm , door opening close info temp etc .

There are 2 4G antennas and 1 gps antenna with plenty of cable to route through , at the moment I've placed on the dash but will move the 4g antenna into each pillar .

The unit comes with a radio antenna converter to fit original fm Ariel .

There is also 2x usb cables and 1x SIM card module . I've inserted my o2 data sim and I can connect via 4g perfectly although sometimes depending on area drops to 3g at times . I've connected a 160gb hard drive and a 64Gb usb stick via the USB ports and both work as should to store music .

On my car I have a aftermarket rear camera , one that slots into the licence plate light holder .. Now when I put car into reverse the signal is black/white and blurry .. I later found that the unit only supports ntsc and my camera is pal only . I could of bought a ntsc camera but I'd liked the camera I had as it was neatly installed so I purchased a pal to ntsc converter from amazon £10 and now works very good .. also when I turn left /right on steering wheel a second bar swerved/bends on screen which way I'm turning the car .

As the were no instructions the hardest part was to figure out air conditioning ... at first there was no communication with radio and climate .. couldn't control anything .. I changed canbox settings , went through various settings but still no joy . I could get other car data like said above but no climate .. I then removed my climate from original facia and plugged It in whilst still having the Tesla on and suddenly everything climate started working .. I can now control climate through the radio . Since this radio is slim on back like a tablet I put the climate module behind the radio . Everything still to this day works as it should with climate . It seems radio need data from
Climate module and to be plugged in . I have searched through lots of forums and found somewhere that If you have digital climate you need climate module still plugged in where as on manual climate it's not needed .

I have Spotify, Apple Music , YouTube and iGo navigation installed which all work and can download music on to storage plus other apps from google play store .

2 issues I still have are door information , open drivers door it shows left door open, same if left door open it shows right door open .
On main screen the speed is set to kph and not mph and in particular setting menu it does not store these changes .. I'm guessing I need to root unit to be able save changes like this . Everything else is changeable in settings except this .

The unit has some sort of standby setting . If turned on within 48h hrs the boot time is almost instant . If left off for more than 48hrs it takes about 30 secs to start .

Also my car is mondeo mk4 2008 1.8 and I have the done the convers+ upgrade to facelift with mortal's firmware .
When engine off radio stays on then open driver door the stereo turns off .

Hi All , I've updated my photos to include further away pics of what it looks like .. use link as above .

Just a further update , I purchased a usb dab+ stick from amazon £29 and plugged this into the usb socket . As I had the dab Sony radio originally I purchased a fakra to Sma Ariel adaptor then connected this to the original fakra plug on vehicle side then screwed the Sma to the dab stick . The dab+ app that came with stick I did not like so searched on Xda forum for alternative . I then downloaded app called Dab-Z from google playstore which is much better and shows much more info/settings to choose .
Only downside is that I have now 1 USB port which I'm currently using for storage . I'll try see if I can use a usb multi hub later this week .

With update to 2 settings , kPH to Mpg and door open left/right I'm still searching for answer , the settings menu are there but I cannot save this information . I've found that I may need my unit rooted to make these settings save but so far I've failed to root the unit with almost every available app . So I'm still searching through forums to find answer.

I will hopefully take more pics later today or tomorrow if the connections and photos of rear of unit .
