Have found diesel specialist locally at last who charges a fraction of main dealer prices and able to sort common rail injection probs. Decided not to let Frauds rip me off for £450 and replace injector - instead went for recalibration - will get specialist to sort if problem returns.
Interestingly - car failed the MOT on fuel pipe leak! Haven't found out where from yet but wouldn't be surprised to find it was the cause of the flashing glow plug light...doubtful there will be more to come
