Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone knows what the damper is for on the throttle linkage on the fuel pump.
I left it off by accident after changing the advance solenoid and the throttle pedal felt so much better. Does anyone know if I'm doing any damage anywhere by leaving it off?

if the damper is off and you rapid style hit the gas pedal the power will kick in with a kick....with it on the power delivery kicks in smoothly.

It's just to make things a little smoother. Everyone takes it off :L

not so sure actually, took the throttle damper off the other day, but cant really say i noticed a lot of difference to be honest,

and think i preferred the feel of the pedal with it on lol.

tho in saying that, im not entirely convinced the turbo has ever worked as well as it should,

even with a cone filter etc, its never had the same kick older TD's i've driven have, like dads old renault 19 td,

did fiddle with the on-boost fuel advance, kinda forgot which way i last turned it though n dont wana go too far one way or the other with it lol as it seems to be runnin ok as it is
