Hello. I have a 2011 ford mondeo 2.2 tdci automatic transmission. As i was driving today suddenly i got the “transmission malfunction” message and the car just stopped going. Went down and saw that transmission oil was leaking, lots of it. Does anybody have any idea about this issue? Or at least how worries should i be? Thanks

No one can do a diagnosis via a forum etc with such little information.
You need to get someone to look at it and identify where the oil is leaking from.
As it is a 2.2 diesel the transmission will be a torque converter type manufactured by Aisin Warner

For 2011 built it can be either the MPS6 or AWF21. (probably a bit late to say) but the first thing is to find the source of the leak, then see what damage is done and determine the next course of action..... Auto box won't survive long without enough oil so be prepared for bad news...

Sorry Siac, you are incorrect. The 2.2 diesel never did have a Getrag Powershift (6DCT450). 2.2 were all Aisin Warner
