ive nearly wired up all connections for mk2 trip computer, just need to run wire from the trip to the feul sender under back seat, just wondering if its possable to tap into the wire near the dash instrument cluster instead, if so which wire/pin is it

No you cant use the gauge feed

ive got a ghia x sender but not fitted it yet, going to fit it tomorrow, been told it may read backwards thou depending what year car its from, if it does then i'll put it back on ebay after all thats where a lot of my mods have come from as my local scrapyards only seem to have lx and glx spec cars

Uk mk2's have a 5 pin plug.

Oooops!!!! I have a MK1 model and I thought that the MK1s have the same fuel sender than MK2s :L

thanks guardtower, not fitted it today been busy finishing of wiring for heaters in my seats, defo going to get the job done over weekend

Fit the plug to the ghia x one and tap into the wire and move it up and down before you remove yours from the tank to check it works ok :L

how do you mean, move it up and down?, had a go at swapping senders over earlier, whats the best way of disconnecting the two pipes with the red and white plugs?
