Hi everyone
I recently traded in my old Mondeo ST Tdci for a new Mondeo and I ended up purchasing a nearly new 12 plate, 2.2 TDci titanium x sport (200bhp) manual transmission.
Now I don't know if I have a potential fault or it is just the engine as I read a few reviews that said the 200hp engine was a "tad disappointing" - personally I love the whole package apart from this niggle: basically when I accelerate hard the engine sometimes goes flat for a second or so immediately after I change up even though I'm in gear and I've got the accelerator flat to the floor. This happens in any gear and only sometimes. The best way I can describe it is its feels like an automatic gearbox because it takes a second or so for power to really kick in.
Has anyone else experienced something similar on this model - is it in fact normal or is there something I should get checked out?
Thanks for any help.
