Here are a list of tyres with prices being found over the internet. Hope this would be handy and will prevent anyone from being ripped off by the kwik-rip! ;)

Not all tyres are being listed here due to the huge variety available, and this list is biased towards the budget side. As a lot of people would say, what you pay is what you get; the low cost budget tyres would provide less grip and the aquaplaning threshold. However unless if you are trying to have a race with a scooby or evo on a twisty A road they should be good enough.:driving:

The legal requirements about tyres and tread depth is listed on the following post ( Link ). But as a lot of us have seen from various tests that the wet grip will be greatly affected when the tread depth is below the recommended limit of 3mm. And bear in mind that the tyres is the only thing that keeps you on the road.

For the 'Delivered' tyres they will be delivered and you will have to find a place to get them fitted and balanced. There is a fitting place search function on the mytyres site. Typical charge for fitting would be around £10 per tyre.

Websites for tyres buying are listed at the bottom, so if your tyres are of different size or if you want to find some better tyres they are there for you.

Also if anyone has any experience on any tyres listed, or any other recommendations please comment and let the list build up! :L

** All the tyre prices being researched are based on this size: 195/60R15

only advice is buy tyres that you know you can trust and that are best suited to your driving style and that are in your price budget whilst remembering that there the only thing between you your car and the road........on the wifes cars i buy firestone fuelsavers good in the wet/dry and decent mileage to be had from them......myself i have 18" federal ss595 on my nissan which i paid £50 a corner for two yrs ago....good wet/dry and i have had plenty of mileage out of them with still plenty of tread left yet....remember what suits me and my rwd car might not suit you because fwd mondys arnt renowned for there tyre life......another good budget performance tyre are the hankook ventus...had them on my mondy and i also know a guy running them on his GTR skyline who swears by them but whatever you do stay well away from nankang tyres...........

I've used Avons for as long as I can remember.

Had ZV1's on my old Cavalier, and the 14" alloys I've recentley removed from the Mondeo had ZV3's on them.

Avons seem to be a good alround tyre. Not necessarily the best on the market, but a good compromise between cost, performance and wear.
