just a thought but instead of using a bleed valve to up the boost pressure would it not be better to use an uprated actuator say in the 18 to 20psi range

Yeah no reason why you couldn't only problem is its a bit of an arse to get to the wastegate actuator.

how does that differ from just using a bleed valve?

I want to up my turbo pressure so am starting to look at all the possibilities.

it will do the same job as a bleed valve only it should be better i would have thought and there should be no spiking but it will be slightly more expensive collins do the actuators the two i would be interested in would be the 18 and 20 psi ones i just wondered if anyody else had tryed to do it this way

You can get problems with the car stalling with a bleed valve, as air is leaking from it.
