Hi, misses went out in the car and said it kept wanting to stall.Just been out to look at it, it starts fine and ticks over fine.However on tickover if you put your foot down slowly on the accelerator pedel the revs go down and it wants to stall.If you put your foot down quickly on accelerayor padel the rev go up as normal.Anyone have any ideas please. :thankyousign: the car is a 2.0l ghia x 1996 mk1

Might be your throttle position sensor (tps). My site has some info on it www.jimmycricket.com

You could also clean your idle speed control valve to eliminate that.

Sounds like the TPS isnt noticing you moving the throttle body, and is not increasing fuel input with air input (which is mechanical and must be increasing). But if you stab it, it does notice and sprays more fuel. You can test it with a multimeter - see my site.
