Hello everyone

Just want to seek some advice here before ringing up and get annoyed.

Got my MKII TD a while ago (from a dealer with 3 monthes warranty), and the gear selection is getting harder and harder (first gear difficult to engage). Looked up here and googled and most answers say that it's the gear selection rod which is the cause of problem.

The thing is, how likely will the warranty people say that it's 'normal wear and tear' and refuse the warranty claim? Also anyone knows how much about it's going to cost?

Cheers everyone!

Recon box is about £450 plus vat then circa £200 for fitting.

Speaking from first hand experience unless the fork has actually broken then it will be down to wear and tear and you will NOT get anything from the warranty company.

Can you put the car into reverse easily???
