Im just trying to setup my idle and im not 100%sure what it should be for a 2.0 manual, The haynes manual says 880rpm, Im just trying to get an average from other drivers

hi mine starts at 1000rpm when started and after, it sometimes sits between 850 or 900 rpm, its never on the same rev

Constantly 1000rpm for me, occasionally drops to 950!!

from cold about 1100 and then after about 3 minutes steady on 800

Well this is the thing, I only need to know for the MOT, any other time it doesnt matter, I dont know if my rev counter is accurate

The mark just below the 1000RPM is 750 rpm, Yes?

yeh its the first mark under the 1k mark. Cant you just check the idle speed on your laptop? Thats got to be more acurate.

Thats right, but he is running a megasquirt (aftermarket) ECU
