Hi

If you have read my other topic then u'll know why ive started this one!

:whistling: a garage....

although did see a site in the UK advertising an alarm with a biult in gas canister that fills your car interior with gas :L looked rather good.

You would proabaly end up being prosecuted or sued for causing harm to the thieves in our lovely lets protect the criminal rather than victem country.

Sleep in the car? A bloke i used to know, had a very nicely moded escort cossie, after having it broken into twice, he fitted proper dead locks and a new leather drivers seat - he always carried a leather seat pad with him. Turned out the seat had spike's/needles in and when the pad was put on it (metal lined) it wasn't a problem, sit on it without the pad and you get a needle up your arse.

Very effective when it got broke into again.

Toad used to do a smoke thing. That was some time ago though.

I was looking for a cheap alarm with a proximity sensor - just to use in the drive at home where no-one would have any cause to go near the car. Couldn't find any though. There used to be loads about.

some stuff i use for security is detachable steering wheel (the momo detachable hub is £80 and every hub they make is unique so no other momo owners could put theres on), pager wired to door switch (also it can be wired to alarm, movement sensors etc and page you whenever anything is buggered with), security window tints, and the very loudest alarm possible (it will be uncomfortable for theives to hang about and they wont hear anyone coming to catch them)

delocking is a important one on a mondeo, put rear door handles on the front. you need remote locking though lol

you also can get a thing like the pager which has a simcard and texts you if anything is done to the car (better than pager cos it cant go out of range).

trackers are useless from what i been told.

CCTV is another good deterrent if you have a problem parking it at your house.

but if your asleep you wont know whats going on unless you wake up :}
Good point, how about live in the car and never sleep.

When we got burgled we were thinking of putting up "Tony Martin Supporter, intruders will be shot at (if they are unlucky then it may become fatal)"

Sorry it's gone off topic.
