where is the engine number..........

as far as im aware the engine number should be either on the end of the head above the thermostat housing or on the the block where it is mated to the geabox between the top bolt hole and the sump line but somitimes it is hard to find as it is not actualy stamped into the block but just brinted on it
it should also be on the vin plate if it is the original engine for the car

it not, perhaps i should have looked before fitting the engine :}

the engine number is etched in to the block next to the gearbox bellhousing

that sits close to my rad. whats the betting i cant make it out without removing the rad!

if its difficult to see try using a bit of mirror to help???
