Just another photo shopped picture.

I know it's photoshopped (cos I have the original pic), but it lends itself beautifully to the convertible treatment.

going by the last attempt doing the focus i think ford gave up, every coupe focus i knew when working at fords always came back you needed a snorkel and flippers when it was raining, it leaked that bad

arse looks to square and i think the windscreen rake would be a problem, might look better as a pickup

Ford didn't design it so no chance of it being built. It's a good photoshop job, but the MK4 doesn't suit being a convertible. Neither does the MK3 for that matter, as there is a photoshopped MK3 convertible going about too.

Looks good though, but to make it possible it'd loose a lot of the features that make it look good in that image.

No way - the Mondy's not suitable for a cabriolet, it's far too big, especially the Mk3 and 4. I think the Mk4 is too fat - its body line is too tall through under the windows - as it is, let alone in a convertible format. A 2-door Mondeo in proportion as that pic shows would be huge... it might look nice in a pic, but if you saw it in real life you'd realize how unworkable it was.

i didnt know that, real shame because the focus convertibles look seriously cool. i've only ever seen 2 at car shows, never seen one on the road!

yea not sure if they have fixed the problem, most customers just had enough and got the money back
