Right here is my problem, still no one can seem to put there finger on it.

Start the car up, idles fine no problems, engage first gear while the car is in motion push in the clutch so the car is free wheeling, then the revs istead of dropping to about 800 or 900 rpms its shoots up to anywhere between 3500 and 4200 rpm's.
When u bring the car to a standstill revs drop to normal again?? Ive cleaned the throttle body the secondries checked the throttle position sensor and that works. so what else could it be and how would i fix it now? :sad: :sad:

a lot of people seem to have a prob like this , though not quite high as yours , they normaly go up to 2 k etc , have you tryed the throttle hang fix mate?

I've had this on my ST for over a year. I just ignore it.

My ST used to do this as well. Since I moved the IMRC under the battery, its been fine.

Yeah mine does that now and then too. Never fixed it and it happens so rarely, I'm not that bothered.
