Hello all,

I fancy some extra light from my rather poor headlights, dont want to go over the legal 50/55w though,

Seen loads on e-bay but most of them look cheap, tacky and overpriced!

Also fancy a slight blue tint to my side lights - full beam if that legal?

Any ideas?

Some decent bulbs in your normal headlights would probably help if their current performance is poor?

Just convert to HID if you want something bright. Bit over a ton on eBay. Fit LED sidelight bulbs to match.

I fancy some decent bulbs! HID would be nice but funds (missus) wont allow!!!!

Any suggestions on these?

What do you all use (non HID)!

I went from what I can only assume where normal bulbs to the best ones that halfords sell which are apparently 50% brighter! It was the gold ones (they do nomral, silver and gold) Now, i'm sure they're exaggerating that a little, but the difference was huge!

Obviously as everyone has said HID's are the most effective option, but it's a bit of a job and not cheap! So this is a nice simple, quick fix!

If you put them in your high beams as well you'll be sorted!

Does anyone else think the dipped beam on the mk2 is pathetic?

I've no complaints about main beam, but when I use dipped beam on unlit roads, the end of the beam seems to fall way short of where you need it to be.
