Not sure if this is the right section as my issue could cover electrical or braking system.
I’m looking for some advice on my 2011 Mondeo mk4.5 2.0 Ecoboost.
Couple of weeks ago the ABS/TC warning lights came on and warning lights for cruise control, collision warning and hill start. Hill start does appear to be working though, but cruise control won’t work (speed limiter does work).
DTC code is C1A93:14-8A – Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor – Circuit Short To Ground Or Open.
First couple of times I cleared the code and everything was fine again. But now I can’t clear it.
I swapped over the rear ABS sensors. Still get the same error code for Right Rear Wheel and no errors on Left Rear Wheel. So it’s not the ABS sensor.
Checked voltage to both rear ABS sensors and everything looks ok – same voltage both sides.
Hooking up to Forscan again, Right Rear wheel speed indicates 255 km/h all the time.
I’ve unplugged/re-plugged connectors C44-BC (under the car) and C12-AB (inside near BCM) and made sure connectors on BCM are secure.
I think my next step is to replace the right rear hub, but before I do that is there anything else it could be? Or anything else I should check? Could another system (such as adaptive cruise control) cause the error to flag up?
