The rooftop ariel on my mk2 has snapped off (dont know if its been snapped of just broke) but its left the threaded part in the hole. Any idea's how to get it out? not sure if i can grip if with my mole grips & i dont really fancy trying to drill it? :?

why dont you go pick one up from a scrappie? or ive seen these alloy look ariels that could just screw onto the thread perhaps? ony other thing i can think of is take it out from inside the cars roof lining.
