Postage from the US is often stupidly expensive and your more likely to get hit with VAT and customs charges
these days. They take the part value and the postage value when working out the fees.

Your ÂŁ10 part may end up costing close to ÂŁ70 by the time it comes through your letterbox. Seen some bargains but
it has never been cost effective to buy from the USA.

Oddly I can get something from China which gets shipped through the USA on its way here and it's dirt cheap...

I have FDM and an SLA 3D printer. Brilliant things but they have limitations. FDM is like layering hot string to build the
part. Issues being in the heater area some of the filaments may get soft with the heater.

SLA is more accurate and you can get brilliant detail in a part but some resins are brittle. Had one that was supposed to be
low odour and water washable to remove the wet resin. Water barely washed any resin away and it cracked after a few days.

Whilst the parts are still available it maybe cheaper to buy another one. Several on ebay with the pin attached to the motor.

Does it need to be hollow or can it be solid?

AC in my 2001 Petrol MK3 was brilliant, super hot day I cranked it down as low as it went and we were starting to
shiver. When I got out of the car there was a funny smell from the front. AC never worked again.

Current car it's OK but a bit of a musty smell if its not been used for a few days, run it and the smell goes
fairly quickly. Changed the pollen filter for a charcoal/silver one and still the same.
