I have also just bought a 2008 mondeo and need a paint stick. How do you tell the colour from the vin sticker?

can anyone help me out with my own paintcode please, have tried the site suggested but cant seem to find my code on there.

From what I read I think my code is 6 0 but on the page there is a 5 and a 7 but no 6 listed, Thanks in advance

 

It tells you the exact colour and any variation. Like Diamond white (1) or (2) etc.

See the picture in post number 1. Bottom left box says 7. Its not that.

The box above it says 7 2. 7 is the paint code.

Post number 3... his says E 6. E is the paint code.

The number after it is the year. 7 2 is Machine Silver 2002

E 6 is Ink Blue 2006.

 

thanks for that purple, I sort of understood that bit but that means my paint code is 6 as in the box you mentioned I have 6 0 but on the website for the codes I don't see a 6 listed, Any ideas what 6 is, its a silver car if that helps lol

ford etis is a good source of info

mondeo mk4 zetec tdci 2008 plate

 

if using etis, look along the top bar, and click "preferences", on the next page change it so it says "united kingdom" then you should be able to just use your reg number. :L

typing "ford etis" into google search bungs it up as the top result :L

Hi all, i've just purchased a 03 mondeo & it also has just a #6 with a #0 in where the paint code is.

 

If you have an 0 then it may have been built in 2000 not 2003. Put your VIN number in the ETIS link

below and see what it says for the build date and colour.
