Hi mate, me again

When I fitted the plazma dials to mine I painted the last 2-3mm of the tips of the needles red to help make them stand out. I used a rather fetching shade of red nail varnish to it with (dont tell the missus). I also painted the cluster bulbs red with it and it seems to have worked a treat.

You can get blue nail varnish but if you find it difficult to find, you could also consider glass paint.

if you do a search for dash bulbs/leds you'll prob find the posts from last few months or so m8, i'd do it for ya but too much vino to be arsed.

the search feature is a wonderful part of the site m8 :L

it's amazing what you can find if you look :whistling:

B&Q would be a good starting point, or you could also try some arts and crafts places. As for using touch up paint, I have a feeling it would not work at night as it would not allow the needles to light up in any way that would be visible.

I cant see it being a problem with the mot as long as you have a means of reading your speed. I may be wrong but I think the only thing that you have to have fitted to the dash of a vehicle is a warning light for exterior fog lamps (if fitted), indicators and main beam. all other things that we have is there for driver info and not a legal requirement.

if things go as ive planned then instead of the needle lighting up the dial itself would shine white so day or night i could still see what speed im doing, didnt think about how it might affect the mot[/quote]

So a reverse of what it is standard? You know what? It mite just work :D :L

i dont believe in having things as standard in my car :L
gonna make the white dials myself, pull a set of black ones off a scrapy, scan into my pc and use photoshop to change the colours, might even add a club badge or some other picture in the middle of the rev counter as theres a nice big blank space there to work on
