Airbag Recall

Hello again
Been a while since I've needed to ask for assistance so hopefully I can find the solution here.
I've searched for posts regading the airbag recall but the only results showed MK4 posts.
I had mine done on Friday at my local dealers(whom I don't trust) and I've noticed that the little display on top of the dashboard that usually says "Passenger Airbag On" now to the right of the display it just says "On" with a little airbag graphic.
Surely changing the propellant shouldn't affect the display in the vehicle. Or can it ? Or has something not been connected up correctly
Have any other MK5 owners had theirs done ?

Thanks

Pete.

Maybe a simple way for them to check the vehicle has had the update done?

No need to plug it in.

Doesn't help me though, my car went in with a working display and now it isn't working, well half of it isn't :)
All the info would be available to the dealers on ETIS anyway.
There is a section in the service book for Field Service Actions and they were reluctant to fill that in and stamp it, claiming they don't do that despite all the other recalls being listed there 🤷‍♀️

just try toggling the key switch on the side of the dash passenger side to make sure its on/off see if that changes the light status, not sure what it should display in all honesty, I can check mine tonight as ive not had any recall carried out.

The stamp thing is normal now days, they won't really stamp anything anymore as all the history for the vehicles is held online with Ford. Mine has main dealer stamps from new but the last service I had done they didn't stamp it, just said it's all recorded online so they have no need to.

It's supposed to and always has displayed the status of the Passenger Airbag, that's why it says "PASSENGER AIRBAG ON" or used to before Friday :).
Now the left hand side of the display is blank with no reference to the Passenger Airbag, it merely says "ON"
Appreciate the suggestion, I'll give it a go, see what happens.
I'd be interested to know if the writing is visible at night, I've just checked mine in the daylight and "Passenger Airbag" is clearly visible in white letters, whereas the on/off is orange.
Surely I can't be imagining that the writing was visible at night, can I ?
I'm beginning to question my own sanity now

Thanks.

Thanks cainy, so that's what my display is like, I must be going senile.
I wouldn't mind but I've had the car for 7 years but something drew my eyes to that display when I went into the car for something the other night and for some reason I was convinced that the writing was visible at night.
I suppose there must be some logic behind the fact that you don't need to see the words at night though.

Thanks.
