IMO the black ones look far better on the silver MK2, I`ve got the ones without the LED`s, I know they`re not everyone's cup`o`tea, but I think they look cool, and the light beam is so much better :)
After scouring the internet for a couple of days it seems that no one has the chrome headlights in stock and no one seems to know when they will be having them in stock. I fear that If i hold on too long and they stop doing them altogether, I won't get any at all. So, I've gone for the black ones with the LED indicators, like the one in the picture shown in my earlier post.

What? Did you have bulbs on your original headlamps? These cheap chinese projectors have nothing to do with good light output. MK2 Mondeo has very good lights from factory and these R8's just can't beat it... not even close! I retrofitted my R8's with Hella HID projectors after a week of use because I couldn't see sh!t...

I have Osram nightbreakers in mine and have no problems at all with mine mate, was gonna fit a HiD kit, but it`s illegal in these headlights in this county unless you can fit the leveling motors or they have headlight wash, thats what i`ve been told anyway, sounds like a total load of rubbish buts that our antiquated laws for you :annoyed:

like them, they do look good, and something different :L

I like the indicators too, are they LED`s too, have you stuck with the supplied headlight bulbs, the ones that came with mine were rubbish so I got some H1 Osram nightbreakers, they`re awesome mate, much better than the standard ones, well they we`re in my case anyway, mine were set way too high.

Yeh, the indicators are LED's and yes the lights are set way out and yes I do want to change the bulbs and I had been looking at the Osram nightbreakers but I also want to change the fog lamp bulbs, are they H1's or H3's?

When fitting the lights, the instructions said to use the bracket off the original headlights. But there's no way that it fits onto the new lights, so until you fix the grille back on, they are still quite loose.
