connectors to screen, take black plastic trim(s) off, unplug and plug in a few times, mine was loose and the wiper mech was hitting it everytime wipers went past.

if that don't work, accidentally throw a brick at it, and call for a windscreen.

under the trim pannel where the window wipers rest. think of the area when you change the pollen filter and you will get the idea. often worth unplugging the relays and reseating them. dont forget that they sit idle for most of the year. one connector per siide on the bottom corners.

Worth trying a gray ford relay in the socket to check that the control side of things aint wonky (yes rich we will have a look at your's )

as siruncle said.

I think i spent max 1 hour that included me cleaning the lower end of the screen of dirt and crap... as well and a little spit and polish on the plastic trim, then cleaned up the connection points and greaced them to aid if they need removing in the future.. all within an hour easily from start to finish >)
