Mk4 2010 Mondeo Auto . Euro 5. 2.0TDCi. TBXA engine. The performance was down and Engine Malfunction light on (still is) . Could not high rev it as it is an automatic so had the DPF cleaned. It is now driving as it should and revving freely.
After 20 miles engine malfunction light came back on. Codes refer to DPF problem but it is certainly not blocked but is not regenerating and as it is auto it cannot be forced to regenerate. The codes point to the lack of regeneration due to the temperature not being high enough to start the process.
This points to the vapouriser ( vaporizer, vaporiser) and possibly pump whose purpose it is to increase the temp?
Removing these to clean looks dodgy as they look easy to break? Any advice please from those who have an answer as guesses have only confused the issues so far and been expensive?
I could be replacing parts for the hell of it but it is getting costly. Thanks.
