I will be replacing the front discs and pads soon on my recently purchased 55reg estate.

Has anyone any feedback (good or bad) or makes of discs and pads?

I use pagid pads on my other car without any problems, but I have read on other forums that some people have had warping issues with pagid discs????

So what's the recommended band you folks go for?

Thanks,

Andy.

Just buy OE discs and fit Mintex pads, cheap, easy and good results.

I've got a code for ECP and tempted to get the pagid discs and pads for just over ÂŁ60

The brembo drilled/grooved pads and discs are circa ÂŁ150 arent they?
Got mine on a deal at the time for ÂŁ100

Unless you are running silly power, the OEM stuff will be fine. The only non OE pads ive ever run were some ferodo ds2500's in my GTi-6. Werent great from cold, but bloody awesome when warm. Having said that, it wasa car that needed them. OEM brakes were very good. These were better, once warm. OEM stuff was better from cold. HAving said that, the GTi-6 had discs like bin lids anyway.....

i'd say mintex too, but i do see a lot of apec braking stuff behind the parts counter at ford... i have had front apec discs/pads on since april, and no probs here... price wise they weren't bad either (i got from a motor factors)

Fitted pagid discs and pads this morning with a full flush/bleed of the system.

Pagid discs come with a protective coating so hopefully no more rusty edges and centres.

Start to finish took me just over 2 hours. 20 minutes of that was waiting for the wife to get new brake fluid. Was lucky that neither disc was corroded on.

At the mo eurocarparts are offering 30% off pagid brakes. (Code is pagid30)
