Hello all, I know this has been covered a Million times but I'm sure someone can give me a straight answer. I have a 58 plate pre 08/2008 titanium x. It does not have bt/vc fitted. I have found the connector and loom. The bulk head connecter( by bonnet release ) is part of the loom and not looped off. I have a microphone and plugged it in and cont checked to bulkhead plug. The bt module I have is 8m5t19g488ap, which came from a 09 mondeo. My Sony firmware is 04-05-02. When the module is connected my phone finds "ford audio" and asks for the pin. 0000 or 1234. My h/u does not give one and does not connect. Am I asking too much?.
A. Is the module the wrong unit for my car. Reg march 08 ( loom etc all seems in place)
B. is the firmware off h/u too old?.
C. Do I need to change wiring to h/u etc?
D. All of the above??!! Lol.
I didn't want to take out the head unit if the module is incorrect. If it is wrong its for sale!
I have noticed on eBay there is now a Oem style complete kit for ÂŁ199' but again not sure if it will work with my build dates.
Any ideas, greatly received

I believe that you can't bluetooth stream music to a pre-08/08 Sony head unit (04- series firmware) , only via the Aux port in the glove box... There are others wiser on this subject than me though.....

Your module doesn't support A2DP, the part number needs to be 8m5t19c112am or above

So you didn't have bluetooth for phone so got. A module and your phone connects but you get no prompts from the hu as if the hu doesn't know your phone is there.

Could be a wiring thing, you should do a search on google for "site: talkford mondeo mk4 bt module fiesta focus" lose the quotes.

The info should be forthcoming.

I now have the plug in place. This has allowed me to trace test the wires to the hu. My loom is different from what is listed on ford wiki quadlock. I now need to re configure the pins ans then change the aux wires. I have a gut feeling that i nay need a Arm update?!. I really need a wiring diagram of the quad lock connections for my 58 pre 08/08 tit x. Have ran out of time this week.

I have a 2007 57 plate titanium that i can't get the bluetooth module to be recognised in.

I have put a firmware version 05-04-02 sony 6cd changer head unit in, i have connected my 19c112-am bluetooth module to the connector yet when i press the phone button on the head unit it just mutes the audio and doesn't even know the BT unit is there.

Is this due to the wiring loom? I even tried slaving in my mondeo system that works in full in my 09 mondeo (the BT unit and head unit) and it didn't work in the Smax either.

PLEASE HELP, I"M LOSING THE WILL TO LIVE!!!!
