Uneven fornt tyre wear.

I have just been out looking at the girlfriends car. Its a standard 2000 X Ka, I was checking the brakes and started to look at the front tyres.

I have found that the inner edge is wearing a bit to quick and is down to about 4 mm when the rest of the tyre is around 6-7mm (poor camber?)

I am making the asumption that the camber is out, and that it is not adjustable on the Ka?

So this leads me to believe that a suspension part is well worn causing this, could this be correct and would any one know whick part to look at (the lower wish bones and bushes were replaced about 8 months ago)?

Other factors:
I am running the tyres at full PSI due to the car not getting use much this year, could this be causing it also.

Thanks in advance.

hi ya. when you had the lower wish bones done was the tracking sorted at the same time. sounds to me as your tracking needs to be checked.sounds like its towing in .it should be cheaked every 6 months or 6000 miles what ever comes sooner, i would also have the tyre set at 30 psi, think this would also help.

What tyres are they?
They are a budget tyre, I think "Lassa" is the brand http://www.lassa.com.tr/lassaweb/miratta.htm

Will adjust the pressure and check in a few miles.

Thanks
Never heard of them - perhaps they have not been manufactured very well?

Might be worth changing them for something else - I got Mowhawks for my ka 165/65/13 for £42 fitted and they were excellent!

They are running approx 36 PSI, which is fully loaded pressure, wear is only on the inside edge, I have taken it for a drive and it does feel a little skitty every now and again.
Looks like a trip to town tomorrow then.

36 sounds very high! my non power steering ka runs 34 front and 26 rear as standard (when I had the standard wheels) I'm sure the pressures are lower for Power Steering Ka's (as yours would be).
As you say though, overinflated tyres would cause wear in the middle.
If the wear is on the inner edge, then it's likely you would be toeing OUT.
You can have great fun with tyre pressures, I had a mini for a couple of years, and I used to run the rears at higher pressure than the fronts. All depends on your driving style, but I loved the lift off oversteer ;-)
