Here are 2 pics on what needs to be done.

1. Get a good ELM327 with HS/MS switch or even better a VCM2 that supports module programming

Open Forscan , make sure you have got the extended license (free right now on their website , follow guide there).

Open configuration menu (the icon of a QFN chip) and choose BCMii config (main config) change to engine type as in the picture and write back to BCM and IPC (back up module). The operations are done by pressing the play button.

after this is done choose to reinit the PCM.

Also make sure to do a full DTC read and erase because you will have sonme U codes.

Hope this clears things up for you guys.

I was looking for DW10C 150.. No wonder i could not find it.

Has anyone else done this and confirmed it definitely works?

I've got a 2012 S-Max with the same engine and was looking to find someone with UCDS to do this for me but if it is possible to do it with Forscan and it definitely works then I may have to give it a go.

You have to reinit PCM too not only write config, follow the guide step by step.

And also need to confirm by looking av the PID for torque output (140 HP around 300-320 nM max , 150 gives around 340-370 nM).

Yes, yesterday I restarted PCM too. I will try to see the torque if there is any change;)

Mk5 uses direct config not as easy. Will get back with a paid solution as soon as I have a MK5 to work on... UCDS have a paid solution right now and to be frank I wont be giving away this for free on mk5...

I've seen that, but seems a bit unclear for me. How can I confirm my car is compatible with the "upgrade"? I don't see any DW10C in Ford Etis, but it's an updated MK4.5 with 2.0TDCi engine, model year 2011.
Do a Forscan check, see what it gives after a scan, although I'm surprised that Etis doesn't show the engine type. Etis shows this for mine:

"Mondeo 2007-2014, 2.0L Duratorq CR TC (140PS) - DW10C,"

Just checked a few and the 115bhp base models do not show DW10C on ETIS.

Wonder if its an older engine fitted to cheaper base spec cars, maybe fleet or hire cars?
