Hello everybody
I have a 58 reg Mondeo Titanium estate, 2.0 TDCi
A while ago I changed the offside brake light bulb. When I attempted to lock the car afterwards using the remote key fob I could hear something was not right and noticed the following issues:
I have checked several fuses in the boot (including FA2) and under the glove box (including F17). All appear to be in good condition. I have removed the driver's door interior panel. All the cabling appears in good order. I replaced the driver's door control module and this has had no effect.
I've reached the limit of my own ability and knowledge and before I take it to a mechanic I was wondering if anybody might have a solution to my problem. I can't be certain that changing the brake light bulb was the trigger, but it was a significant coincidence as I noticed these electronic faults just after changing the bulb.
Any ideas as how to solve the problem will be hugely appreciated! Cheers

A while ago I changed the offside brake light bulb. When I attempted to lock the car afterwards using the remote key fob I could hear something was not right and noticed the following issues:
- Both offside doors failed to lock. The near side doors however did lock and the boot locked.
- The power folding mirrors did not fold in, they remain folded out.
- When the car is running none of the electronics controlled from the driver's door buttons work, i.e. I cannot move the wing mirrors and none of the electric windows respond. However the nearside windows do work when using the buttons on those nearside doors.
- The rear offside door electric window does not respond to the button on this door either. Nothing seems to work on the drivers side of the car.
I have checked several fuses in the boot (including FA2) and under the glove box (including F17). All appear to be in good condition. I have removed the driver's door interior panel. All the cabling appears in good order. I replaced the driver's door control module and this has had no effect.
