Just pondering on the feasibility of rebuilding a V6 bottom end?
The block could be re bored to 88.9mm with 3.0 pistons replacing the std 2.5 82.4mm
The crank bearings is the only stumbling block. I suppose the crank could be reground, but there are no oversize bearings available..... Again a completely new crank could be purchased, but at ££££ bucks!
As the engine is used by Mazda and jaguar, and has been in production since 1993 I don't see and logic in why there are no oversized bearings available? :loopy: :loopy:
